Down Syndrome is a mental & visible handicap. This doubly dicriminating factor, in the meaning of "which marks out an indivdual", is often at the root of fantasies in our mostly neurotypical society. However, when asked about their daily life, it is more than normal to hear people with down syndrome describe a story that, with with closed eyes, would be indistinguishable from the one of a neighbour, a colleague, from people's own story. Every adult is free to choose, to feel, or to love, to follow a destiny as conventional as it is extraordinary, depending on what they decide to embody. This poster and the Caryo typeface were produced on the occasion of the World Down Syndrome Day for the association Grandir en société and aims to promote personal and self-determined expression.
