Initially designed as a basis for the visual identity of the cultural center of Amiens, the Bastrinque is a monospace reverse-contrast font. The design of the letters is inspired by the facades built with bricks, which are to be found everywhere in the capital city of Picardy, in various shapes, colors and patterns. Through the conservation of a form of calligraphic movement within the letters, the Bastrinque is aimed at recreating the visual diversity of those environnements.The font has become variable and integrates QUNI features.
